Tottenham fans in the Transfer Tavern are starting to get worried due to the lack of signings being made in the transfer window.

Mauricio Pochettino is yet to make a signing this summer. Our regulars in the Tavern are disappointed to see Premier League rivals such as Manchester United and Liverpool splashing over £75m on new recruits. Time is running out with the window closing before the start of the season for the first time.

Bolstering the Tottenham attack will be a priority for Pochettino following the conclusion of the World Cup. Lessening the goalscoring burden on Harry Kane will be vital to maintaining a title challenge. A new winger could be perfect to compliment the English forward, as it does with the Three Lions.

A great signing could be Juventus forward – Marko Pjaca. Valued at £13.5m by Transfermarkt, the Croatia international has endured a disappointing time after moving from Dinamo Zagreb back in 2016. Injuries have hampered his progress to the first-team and was loaned to Schalke in January to get game time.

The 23-year-old made just seven appearances during his time in the Bundesliga, scoring two goals. He finally showed glimpses of his talent during his spell in Germany but may not have a future in Italy should Juventus complete the signing of Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid. He is capable on both wings or as a number ten making him an excellent option for Pochettino to have at his disposal.

A move to North London could be just what Pjaca needs to rediscover the form that made him one of Europe’s most sought-after youngsters.
