It’d been a slow summer for the Tottenham Hotspur fans in the Transfer Tavern, though they really did enjoy their club’s business on deadline day.
Indeed, the signings of Serge Aurier and Fernando Llorente have seriously strengthened Mauricio Pochettino’s squad, much to the delight of our local Lillywhites.
So, with both on board, our north London locals are waxing poetic about the complexion of Pochettino’s squad.
Another player involved in that discussion is young playmaker, Marcus Edwards. The talented teen is cited as one of the club’s most promising youngsters and reports from the Guardian have shed more light on his situation.

According to David Hytner, the 18-year-old SNUBBED loan moves away from Spurs on deadline day in order to try and fight for a place in Pochettino’s team.
Clubs from the Championship and Holland are believed to have tried to bring Edwards in on loan, though their offers are said to have been rejected by the player.
Clearly a huge talent, Pochettino’s record in bringing through youngsters would suggest he truly believes he’s got a chance, much to the delight of our Spurs-mad punters.
Edwards is a huge talent and there’s every chance he could be given a chance by Pochettino, considering his track record when working with youngsters.
If he’s snubbing moves away, he’s certainly got belief in his talent.
