It’s time for Pochettino to admit defeat and sell Tottenham attacker in January – Agreed?

Spurs fans here in the Tavern are beginning to lose faith in the future of one particular player at the club.

Mauricio Pochettino has had to do his utmost best to compete with the injury curse that seems to be lingering over the Wembley arch, having had Erik Lamela, Victor Wanyama, Toby Alderweireld, Jan Vertonghen, Mousa Dembele, Harry Kane, Hugo Lloris and Dele Alli all spend time on the sidelines.

But the one player who’s been affected the most is fellow Argentine Erik Lamela, with him still awaiting a return to full fitness, a year after he suffered his reoccurring hip injury back in October 2016.

Having been set for a possible feature in their recent clash in the North London Derby, Pochettino has recently come out to say the midfielder still hasn’t reached his personal beliefs of full fitness.

Although Lamela is a player that holds the ability to be one of the regular stars in this Spurs side, you can never quite rule out the possibility of an injury coming back to haunt the midfielder.

Is it time to cash in for Pochettino?

A combination of the current rise of Heung Min Son producing a healthy return of contributions towards the team’s performances, and a long road ahead to working his way back up to the demands of the Premier League, a regular place in the first team may be hard to come by for the talented midfielder.

The Landlord here in the Tavern believes that Erik Lamela is too much of a liability for Tottenham, in having to keep on recuperating the Argentine’s state, resulting in a possible sale being the only viable option.

So Spurs fans, your thoughts?
