Tottenham Hotspur, in their new home, would be the ideal destination for Jadon Sancho to take his career to the next level.

The 18-year-old started in England's 3-0 win over the U.S.A. at Wembley on Thursday evening an provided an assist for Trent Alexander-Arnold who scored the second goal of the night for Gareth Southgate's team.

Sancho has been lighting up the Bundesliga since moving to Borussia Dortmund from Manchester City last year but has particularly impressed this season, scoring five goals and providing eight assists in all competition so far.

His performances led to a call-up to the England national team in October where he made his debut from the bench in a 0-0 draw with Croatia in the Nations League.

Sancho's numbers this season has made for impressive reading and although Dortmund would do all they can to keep him in Germany until his contract runs out in 2022, a move to the Premier League would be highly beneficial for his career.

At the same time it has to be said that the experience he is gaining in the Bundesliga at the moment is immense for his age, especially given the fact that Dortmund are top of the league. But for England and his development, competing on home soil is a must.

And Tottenham Hotspur would be the perfect club for him to excel at. Despite there being an overload of wingers in Mauricio Pochettino's squad at the moment, who most have committed a long-term future at the club, the competition in that squad would only be good for Sancho.

Similar to what Reiss Nelson would be like when he returns to Arsenal at the end of the season, Sancho will have to chance to show his worth by not having to deal with a lot of pressure. Pochettino would allow him to play his natural, free-flowing game, while his abilities have already shown the threat he can be when given space to work with.

A deal in the near future seems unlikely however, but in the long-run Spurs and Pochettino's setup would be the ideal platform for Sancho to establish himself as a star for the future.
