Tottenham have wiggled themselves back into contention for the Premier League title this season, despite faith being lost at one point.
Mauricio Pochettino is undoubtedly a brilliant manager and despite the bad injuries his side have had to deal with, Tottenham are still striving towards the top two.
They do have the players to make their title dreams a reality but this season may be too soon. What Tottenham really have to do is invest, invest enough so that they can be a match to anyone in the league and finally then have some silverware to show for their improvements.
As a starting line-up, little could be improved but Tottenham don’t have quality in every position of their squad, hence the need especially for a back-up striker.
Someone who not only fills that role but is versatile as well is Hoffenheim’s Joelinton, a player Tottenham must do everything to sign.
Joelinton, (who is valued at £13.5 million on Transfermarkt) would present a far better option than the forwards Tottenham have as back-up to Harry Kane, as well as a hand on the wing because he has the ability to play there also.
The Brazilian forward has made his way into Hoffenheim’s starting line-up this season and what a job he has done.
Currently in 26 total appearances, Joelinton has nine goals and eight assists to his name, perfectly highlighting his key attributes. It’s clear to see that the 22-year-old has a good eye for goal, as well as his team-mates and with the array of attacking stars around him at Tottenham, he could see his goal contribution increase further.
Spurs are a club on the rise and signing a player who is good enough now and could be even greater in the future is a brilliant idea.
