Tottenham desperately need to right their wrongs of the summer transfer window in January.

Spurs made history by becoming the first team not to sign a single player during the summer transfer window since it was created in 2003. After a decent start to the season, fears that they would be left behind by their rivals were eased. However, their recent slump suggests Tottenham are in need of new recruits in January.

With Harry Kane misfiring, the Lilywhites look flat in attack. Despite Lucas Moura’s great start to the new campaign, Spurs need to add to their forward line when the window reopens. Adding another winger to the squad could be the perfect solution to get their season back on track.

One man they should be monitoring is Inter Milan star – Keita Balde. Valued at £27m by Transfermarkt, the former Barcelona youngster burst on the scene after becoming a first-team regular with Lazio. His form prompted Monaco to spend £27m to bring him to France, but Keita was loaned to Inter Milan in the summer. He has made four appearances in the Serie A this season and played the last 18 minutes of Inter’s recent 2-1 victory over Tottenham in the Champions League.

Keita would be an excellent addition to the Tottenham squad. The Senegal international possesses electrifying pace, combined with his superb dribbling ability, makes him a nightmare for defenders. The 23-year-old also has a keen eye for goal, netting 16 goals in the Serie A during his final season with Lazio.

His time in France should not be an indication of his talent – working with a manager like Mauricio Pochettino could do wonders for his development. Keita would be the ideal addition to get the Lilywhites firing again.
