The Tottenham Hotspur fans in the Transfer Tavern can’t stop cheering right now.
With Harry Kane having scored five goals in two big games, our north London locals are confident of another genuine title tilt, spearheaded by both he and Dele Alli.
Indeed, the pair look to be growing into world-class talents, so comments from Bleacher Report hinting at some frustration on Daniel Levy’s front in regards to the latter haven’t gone down well.
Within their in-depth look at Alli’s situation, the fact that super-agents are believed to be vying for the England international is said to have frustrated the Tottenham chairman. Both Mino Raiola and Jorge Mendes are thought to be keen on adding the former MK Dons youngster to their list of clients, to the reported annoyance of Levy.
Clearly, that doesn’t mean the 21-year-old will be leaving soon, though it seems Levy is frustrated about the manner in which his private interests could go, should some of the biggest agents in the game – who have previously angled their clients for moves away – take control.
Sadly, it was always going to go this way. Alli is simply too hot a property for this to be avoided, though it doesn’t necessarily mean he’s in any rush to leave his current employers.
