Major transfer news to delight Spurs fans, two-year deal offered to UCL finalist

After bidding farewell to White Hart Lane, the Tottenham Hotspur fans in the Transfer Tavern really could do with some cheering up right now.

While it’s been a wonderful campaign for Mauricio Pochettino’s men, they fell just short of truly pushing bitter rivals Chelsea for the Premier League title and many of our north London locals hope a few astute additions can provide them with the final touch.

So, reports from Yahoo Sport! have gone down a storm today. They’ve revealed the club have initiated discussions with Juventus star Dani Alves over a potential move to north London this summer.

The Brazilian is proving evergreen in Turin after leaving Barcelona last summer and has played a big part in getting the Italians to the Champions League final. As a result of his stunning form for the Serie A champions, Tottenham are understood to have taken an interest.

A two-year deal with the option of a third is believed to have been mooted, with more detailed conversations are understood to be scheduled after the Champions League final next month.

For his part, Alves is reportedly keen on the idea of testing himself in the Premier League, much to the delight of our resident Spurs fans.
