Official in England for transfer talks with Tottenham duo eyed

It’s going to be a big summer for the Tottenham Hotspur fans in the Transfer Tavern as they prepare for a season at Wembley.

After a wonderful campaign saw them finish second, our north London locals have been gutted to read rumours that key players such as Kyle Walker and Danny Rose could leave Mauricio Pochettino’s cause on Hotspur Way.

No matter what happens in the transfer market this summer, many of the local Lillywhites propping up the bar have full trust in their popular Argentine coach. So, reports emanating out of Turkey claiming two players on the periphery of the first-team could be of interest to a European giant have certainly sparked interest.

According to FanatikGalatasaray’s director of football Cenk Ergun has travelled to England, reportedly with an interest in bringing both Vincent Janssen and Kevin Wimmer to Istanbul this summer.

The pair are by no means first-team fixtures for Spurs, though Wimmer’s exit in particular would somewhat disappoint our locals. The Austrian is clearly a good player, though the strength of Tottenham’s central partnership simply keeps the 24-year-old at bay.

Janssen, meanwhile, hasn’t wholly convinced and not many of our locals would miss him all too much.
