While the Tottenham supporting punters propping up the bar in the Transfer Tavern are usually nervous about a north London derby, there’s been a strange shift of late.
With Spurs leading their bitter rivals by a huge 14 points, a positive result against the Gunners would see them confirm a finish above them for the first time in almost two decades.
Still, a tweet from their club’s official Twitter account has caused concern. Their official account has revealed defender Cameron Carter-Vickers will more than likely miss the rest of the season after picking up a knee injury.

Granted, the American’s absence isn’t likely to have too much of an impact on Spurs’ season, though the Lilywhites in the bar are sorry to see a young player’s development stalled by injury.
A popular figure amongst our local Spurs fans, they hope the 19-year-old returns back and better than ever next season, especially if Eric Dier leaves.
Thoughts?
