Home advantage is key in the Champions League and the Tottenham Hotspur fans wishing for White Hart Lane may well be handed a welcome boost.
For the punters in the Transfer Tavern calming their nerves before Spurs’ meeting with Monaco at Wembley tonight, a bizarre story has emerged.
As posted by the club’s official Twitter page, it appears they have taken the rather unusual step of decorating the dressing rooms as if they were indeed at the Lane.

Perhaps it will serve as a comfort for the players, though whether or not it will make much of an impact remains to be seen.
Still, it is indicative of the value the club put in their famous old ground, which served as such a cauldron amid their run to the quarter-finals back in 2011 under Harry Redknapp.
They’re certainly making themselves at home, let’s hope it doesn’t work out like West Ham at the London Stadium!
