While, naturally, much of the talk surrounding Spurs’ transfer activity this summer has centred around arrivals, the North London locals in the Transfer Tavern seem to have forgotten about potential departures.
As the club close in on Marseille winger Georges-Kévin N’Koudou, manager Mauricio Pochettino could be set to lose one of the stars currently occupying one of those positions at White Hart Lane.
According to Football Insider, Clinton N’Jie will inform the club he wants to leave after a frustrating year in London, following his £14m move from Lyon last term.
The 22-year old struggled for form and fitness in equal measure sine his move and is reportedly keen on an offer from Marseille (ironically enough) to join them on loan for the season.
Vincent Janssen has also been drafted in to the Argentine’s squad, further increasing competition in the frontline.
L’OM are understood to be confident of agreeing a loan deal with Daniel Levy and company within the coming days.
Should N’Jie be kept on as a squad member? Has he been given a fair crack of the whip? Let us know below….
