Pochettino must turn to Skipp and Sterling - Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur will be desperate to go all the way in the FA Cup this season, with the Champions League being their only other chance to secure silverware.

Spurs will be desperate to cement a top four place in the Premier League this season, after dropping out of the title race due to a couple of disappointing results.

Although, Tottenham Hotspur will travel to Selhurst Park to face Crystal Palace in the fourth round of the FA Cup later on today. The Eagles gave Liverpool a run for their money and got the better of Manchester City at the Etihad a while back, so they’ll be looking to cause another upset today.

Sadly, the Lilywhites will be without Harry Kane and Dele Alli as they continue to nurse injuries.

But, Mauricio Pochettino won’t need to worry about Alli and Kane if this young DUO impress today…

Kazaiah Sterling has looked rather impressive in the Premier League 2 this season, scoring four goals and providing two assists in just seven matches.

He has all the ingredients to become a future star in the Premier League, with his pace, strength, and eagle eye for goal making him a well-rounded striker.

Spurs are currently on the look out for a striker after losing Harry Kane to injury, so the youngster may be able to work his way into Mauricio Pochettino’s first-team plans if he puts on a show today.

Oliver Skipp has been hugely impressive since breaking onto the scene in North London, having secured eight first-team appearances so far, including two assists against Tranmere Rovers in the third round of the FA Cup.

The midfielder has the perfect chance to impress in tomorrow’s game after shining in the last round, with a regular first-team place up for grabs due to recent injuries and Mousa Dembele’s departure.

So, Pochettino has to turn to the 18-year-old as he has the ability to control the midfield and can snuff out any attacks against a very attacking Crystal Palace side.
