Though it’s been another strong season for the Tottenham Hotspur fans in the Transfer Tavern, the loss to West Ham United last Friday has left a sour taste in mouths of some of our punters.
With Chelsea now just three points from being crowned Premier League champions and Kyle Walker linked with a move away from the club, the Lilywhites could do with some cheering up.
Well, the Daily Mirror suggest Mauricio Pochettino is already lining up replacements for Walker should he leave, which has given our north London locals a boost indeed.
They claim the White Hart Lane side are mulling over a move for Bournemouth defender Adam Smith should the aforementioned England international depart this summer.
The 26-year-old has impressed as a dynamic right-back on the south coast this season, registering four assists (only one less than Spurs’ star) and has previous on Hotspur Way.
He started his career with club before being sold in January 2014 and has since come on leaps and bounds with the Cherries. As a result, many of our locals believe this could be a smart move on behalf of Pochettino.
