Pochettino should swoop in on Chelsea’s underused star to improve Tottenham – Agreed?

Spurs fans here in the Tavern wait in anticipation, as a successful start to the season has seen them at the forefront at a whole load of transfer links.

Tottenham have enjoyed some unusual attention so far this season, as Mauricio Pochettino and his men have stepped up a gear. Turning Champions League dreams into reality, with an inspired run so far this season, leading fans on an unplanned trip to dreamland.

However, with all the success enjoyed by the team so far, this comes along with unwelcome news of giant clubs looking to snap up the services of firing players. Spanish giants Real Madrid have been at the forefront of claims that would bring Harry Kane to Los Blancos, while Barcelona have shown their interest in Dele Alli.

So with Spurs at the forefront of some potential departures, one man in particular who has the ability to fill the void could be Ruben Loftus Cheek.

The midfielder currently plays his football for Premier League side Crystal Palace, but is on loan from London rivals Chelsea. Having impressed so far this season, Gareth Southgate opted to include him in the England squad for friendlies against Germany and Brazil, as he gains his first cap for his country.

Against a formidable German side, the young man put on a dazzling performance which saw him display his trickery and quality, on his way to a man of the match performance. So having impressed for the national side in what was his first game, it looks as if attraction from elsewhere won’t be too far away.

After an incredible England debut, could this kick start an interest from Spurs?

Operating in a roaming midfield role with the ability to also venture forward, he offers pace, dribbling ability, creativity, strength and aggression in what is a very complete set of attributes. Which fits perfectly into the missing positions that could possible become vacant in the Spurs midfield.

So with Antonio Conte not looking likely to give youth a chance, he could perhaps find himself at Wembley.
