While there’s been oh so much optimism amongst the Tottenham Hotspur fans in the Transfer Tavern at times this term, the Tottenham Hotspur fans have cast dour figures ever since their side were held to a goalless draw with Sunderland.
Now the title looks out of reach once more, our north London locals have been met with some more bad news thanks to reports from the Sun. They’ve revealed England international Danny Rose will more than likely miss the ENTIRE month of February after suffering medial ligament damage.
Crucial to the way Mauricio Pochettino’s team set up, the 26-year-old limped off at the Stadium of Light and is widely expected to miss the crunch clash with Liverpool. His absence is another blow to the backline at White Hart Lane, with Jan Vertonghen also picking up a lengthy knock of late.
It’s yet another blow to their title tilt, with Ben Davies having to come in as his replacement. While the Welshman is popular amongst our drinkers, there’s no doubting Rose’s absence will be a major blow.
How big a blow could this be? Let us know below…
