Tottenham are the only team in the Premier League not to make a signing in the summer transfer window.

There is only one day left for Spurs to make a signing which will undoubtedly worry their fans. Tottenham managed a third-place finish in the Premier League which secured Champions League football at their new home. However, their rivals have strengthened significantly, and the Lilywhites are in danger of being left behind.

Thankfully, there is still time with the deadline not until 5pm. Mauricio Pochettino must move quickly to land his targets and bolster his ranks. Spurs are believed to be interested in signing a new central midfielder.

One man Tottenham could target is Sampdoria midfielder – Dennis Praet. Valued at £22m by Transfermarkt, the Belgian has developed into a key player for the Italian side since joining from Anderlecht in 2016. He made 32 appearances in the Serie A as Sampdoria ended the season in ninth place.

Praet is an excellent all-rounder with bags of energy – he would slot seamlessly into the Tottenham midfield. Strong on the ball, the Belgian also possesses excellent vision and is capable of unlocking a defence in an instant. His all-action performances would delight the Tottenham fans.

The 24-year-old needs to add more goals to his game to be a success in the Premier League after netting just one goal last season. Under Pochettino’s tutelage, he would definitely improve his goal-scoring ability.

With a reported £22m release clause in his contract, Spurs would be foolish not to bring him to North London.

Tottenham fans, thoughts?
