Premier League rivals ready raid on Spurs speedster

Considering the fact Tottenham Hotspur and Sunderland had such contrasting seasons, it’s amazing to see the different in attitudes between the two parties in the Transfer Tavern this evening.

The Black Cats were fighting off relegation all season while Spurs were challenging for the title, though one ended in rampant success and the other in a rather damp squib.

One of the major players in the annual great escape on Wearside was on loan Spurs defender DeAndre Yedlin.

After a slow start to life at the Stadium of Light, the American international went on to become a key member of the club’s defence and thoroughly impressed under Sam Allardyce.

So much so in fact, that according to the Daily Mirror, ‘Big Sam’ is ready to offer £2m to keep the 22-year old with him next season.

While Spurs have been lauded for their willingness to develop burgeoning talent this season, they are well stocked in the right-back berth thanks to Kyle Walker and Kieran Trippier.

Does Yedlin have a future with Spurs? Would they be silly to let him go now?
