With Harry Kane still out injured, the Tottenham Hotspur fans in the Transfer Tavern are in desperate need for some real attacking enterprise. With the North London derby coming, they need it quick.
Seemingly in somewhat of a malaise right now, Spurs are failing to kill off teams without the lethal instinct of their poster boy, despite remaining unbeaten in the Premier League thus far.
Though summer signing Vicent Janssen notched his first Premier League goal for the club since joining over the course of the summer, the Dutchman is yet to wholly convince in terms of leading the line.
Still, criticism of the 22-year-old from a former Chelsea forward has not gone down well amongst those hailing from Hotspur Way propping up the bar this evening.
Talking to the Times, Tony Cascarino compared the former AZ Alkmaar man to Championship forward Glenn Murray, suggesting the Oranje star is more suited to life in the second-tier.
“Janssen has a similar style to Glenn Murray, who scored a hat-trick for Brighton on Saturday.”
