Report provides transfer update Tottenham fans will surely love

Tottenham fans here in the Tavern are hoping to see one of their former stars return to North London, as they relive his finest moments back at White Hart Lane.

Indeed, Mauricio Pochettino has built an incredible legacy during his time in North London, but not even this matches up to the memories that some of our local residents enjoyed with former greats in the side. Sadly, Gareth Bale’s departure still haunts many supporters to this day, as they’d do anything to see the Welshman back in their ranks. Although, it appears that the club feels the same way too, as according to reports in the El Confidencial, Tottenham want to bring Bale back to North London.

The 28-year-old is being pushed out of the exits in the Spanish capital, as injuries, failing to integrate, and his family’s desire for a return back to these shores has him leaning towards an increasingly likely departure. And, it hasn’t taken long for news of interest to filter through, as it’s understood that one of the intermediates that works with Real Madrid has stated that both Spurs and Manchester United are keen.

Indeed, Los Blancos president Florentino Perez is ‘ready to listen to offers’ for the player and whilst 100 million is the aim, it’s possible that Bale could leave for considerably less. But, most importantly for Spurs fans, the possibility of a return for their former Welshman does not include a switch for star man Harry Kane.

Landlord’s Verdict:

Spurs should do everything they can to try to bring Gareth Bale back to North London, after making his name as one of the best attackers in world football during his time at White Hart Lane. And, with it likely that the club can secure his services for considerably less than Madrid’s aim, Mauricio Pochettino should ensure that his capture is made a priority.
