‘Run the Gooners ragged’ – Tottenham fans delighted by Enfield Twitter post

The Tottenham fans in the Transfer Tavern are beginning to feel some pre-match nerves on the eve of the first North-London derby of the season.

Mauricio Pochettino takes his Tottenham team on a short trip across London to the Emirates on Saturday lunching seeking the club’s first victory on the ground since 2010. However, the return to training for Tottenham stars Harry Kane, Harry Winks and Dele Alli yesterday has put the Spurs faithful propping up the bar here in an optimistic mood ahead of the eagerly-anticipated clash.

One member of the Tottenham squad who is still battling to reach full-fitness after a year-long lay-off is Argentinian winger Erik Lamela, who was pictured alongside his namesake Eric Dier in an official post from the club’s Twitter page earlier today.

After such a lengthy spell on the sidelines, it appears the Tottenham fans are desperate to see Lamela back in action this season.

And some of the onlooking fans on Twitter took the opportunity to mock the length of Lamela’s absence from football in which he has become something of a forgotten man.

After all, The Lilywhites have performed remarkably well in his absence, but his return will add some strength in depth to the current squad who still have 3 trophies to compete for this season.

Here’s what the Tottenham fans had to say in response to the club post.
