With the Tottenham Hotspur fans in the Transfer Tavern frustrated about the complexion of their summer thus far, they really could do with some rumours and reports.
While the coffers must be bursting on Hotspur Way following the world record sale of Kyle Walker to Manchester City, the latest news to emanate from north London has little to do with potential incoming players.
Indeed, the club have announced they have agreed a deal to sell ANOTHER player, though this time, not a first-team one.
Clinton Njie now looks set for a permanent move to Marseille after spending last season on loan, having never really got a chance to shine at Tottenham, having joined from Lyon in 2015.
Though the 23-year-old’s exit is unlikely to cause too many tears amongst our resident Spurs supporters, it has sparked debate on Twitter. Some believe Njie never got a chance during his fleeting stay at the club, while others have joked Tottenham continue to sell their ‘best players’…
That being said, here’s a look at how Spurs fans reacted on Twitter.
