According to The Mirror, Inter Milan and Juventus are monitoring the current situation with Moussa Sissoko with the midfielder failing to make an impact at Tottenham this season.
The French international was a £30 million move on the last day of the transfer window in the summer as Spurs took him away from Newcastle United who had been relegated to the Championship the season before.
It hasn’t gone well since, though, and Spurs appear to have made a mistake in signing him, something echoed by our Lilywhites fans here in the Transfer Tavern.
“When we signed him I wasn’t sure, but I thought I’d give him the benefit of the doubt,” one punter here by the bar said.
“But now it’s clear that he simply doesn’t want to work hard to get into the team and under a manager like Pochettino that isn’t going to sit well – we should try and cut our losses as soon as possible.”
Sissoko impressed at EURO 2016 for France with our resident Magpies wondering why he hadn’t done it at St. James’ Park often enough but now, as cynical as this sounds, they are happy to see that he’s back to his skulking old ways.
Our landlord thinks it’s time for the Frenchman to go as he has simply proven himself a liability once again!
