Tottenham have upped their game from last season despite not making a single signing over the summer, something they were criticised for at the time.
Equipped with a top manager like Mauricio Pochettino, Tottenham are bound to continue to challenge for the top spots in the Premier League but ultimately they want trophies to back up their progression.
With top internationals and quality players within their ranks, it won’t be a long wait for Tottenham to bag themselves some silverware and it would certainly be made a lot easier with a few quality additions.
Tottenham’s big weak point is commonly regarded by their lack of squad depth and in midfield, where many say the game is won, Spurs need to add more quality and could do that by recruiting a player like Bayern Munich’s Corentin Tolisso.
Tolisso, (who is valued at £40.5 million on Transfermarkt) has shown glimpses of his stunning ability since moving to Germany in 2017 but too often he has been cast aside in favour of other options that champions Bayern Munich have at their disposal.
With a move to Tottenham though, the French international would still be getting high standard football but has a much better opportunity of playing regularly.
At 24, the World Cup winner should be heading towards his peak years but after just 14 minutes of football this season with Bayern Munich, maybe a move away is the best way to progress his career. It’s clear to see his exceptional talent as well, last season he scored 10 goals and provided 7 assists in all appearances.
Tottenham improving on fringe players like Moussa Sissoko and Victor Wanyama would be a huge upgrade with the arrival of Corentin Tolisso.
