Tottenham Hotspur fans in the Transfer Tavern loved seeing NBA legend, Steve Nash visit Hotspur Way over the weekend as the lifelong Spurs fan got to watch training in close quarters at the club’s training centre. Nash described his status in basketball allowing him to meet Mauricio Pochettino and the players as the greatest perk of his basketball career.
Tottenham fans have had a lot to celebrate over the last couple of years despite not winning any trophies. Under Argentine manager, Mauricio Pochettino, the club have developed into one of the most feared teams in England and in Europe. This season alone Spurs have claimed the scalps of Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester United, Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid, despite playing all of their home games away from their usual White Hart Lane whilst the club’s new stadium is being constructed.
Tottenham beat Swansea 3-0 at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday as they advanced through the last four in the FA Cup. The FA Cup is now Spurs biggest hope of winning their first piece of silverware under Pochettino, although they’ll have to get past Jose Mourinho’s rigid Manchester United in the semi-finals before they can start dreaming of a Wembley final against either Chelsea or Southampton.
