Spurs confident of sealing £30m deal for prolific West Ham and Arsenal target

Alexandre Lacazette

The Tottenham fans in the Transfer Tavern have who’ve been doing their best to forget the disastrous end of season have been greeted with some excellent transfer news in order to help them do just that.

That’s because the Daily Mirror claims the North London outfit believe they are in pole position to land French international forward Alexandre Lacazette after opening talks with current club Lyon.

The 24-year old has emerged as a hot property on the continent after a prolific few years, seeing himself linked with the likes of Arsenal and West Ham United.

In fact, the Hammers are understood to already have had a bid knocked back by Les Gones earlier this month.

Spurs are reported to have opened talks with the Ligue 1 outfit as they look to draft in high quality cover for star man Harry Kane ahead of their venture into the Champions League next season.

He is thought to be keen on a move to White Hart Lane, though Lyon will apparently ask Spurs to increase their current £24m bid to around the £30m mark.

Will Spurs qualify for the Champions League again next season?
