With Deadline Day fast approaching, the Tottenham Hotspur fans in the Transfer Tavern are one of many groups of supporters to be met with a late deal.
Despite the development of burgeoning talent at a rapid rate under the stewardship of Mauricio Pochettino, some of our North London locals are disappointed to see a bright prospect leave White Hart Lane.
As confirmed by the club’s official website, Nabil Bentaleb has left to join Bundesliga outfit Schalke on loan until the end of the 2016/17 campaign.

Having emerged under Tim Sherwood, the Algerian midfielder has seen his progress stall since Eric Dier was converted from a central defender into a similar role last term.
With the presence of Mousa Dembele and summer arrival of Victor Wanyama, competition for that role has only increased.
For our locals, him leaving has sparked debate as some of the seasoned drinkers believe he could have developed into a top class player.
Good deal for Spurs? Happy with that? Let us know below!
