Our Tottenham fans here in the Transfer Tavern are expecting big things from their side these days with them once again going well in the league.
Things really have come on leaps and bounds at the club over the last decade with them going from also-rans to Champions League qualifiers and even title-challengers.
This season, of course, the latter looks out of reach but they’ll be confident of finishing in the top four again and then looking to bolster their squad in the summer with more exciting and talented players.
Certainly, Max Meyer has been touted as of interest to the club by the likes of The Mirror, and, speaking to ZDF (via the aforementioned outlet,) the German midfielder has revealed that his future is uncertain.
Current club Schalke have yet to agree a new deal with the young player who is known for his ability to dance around challenges and his comments suggest Spurs – and any other suitors – have a chance of bringing him in.
Meyer revealed when asked if he would sign a new deal or move on:
“Why not? I can imagine both. The odds are 50-50.”
A move could be on, then, and our landlord thinks he’d be a top signing.
