With the Tottenham Hotspur fans in the Transfer Tavern eagerly awaiting their third season under Mauricio Pochettino, excitement at White Hart Lane is palpable.
Having welcomed Vincent Janssen and Victor Wanyama into the club already, the North London locals have turned their attentions to reports from the Guardian.
They claim that Pochettino outcast Nacer Chadli could now stay with the club after seeing a potential deal for Marseille winger Georges-Kévin Nkoudou fall through.
Chadli has been linked with moves to both Swansea City and Borussia Dortmund in recent weeks after seeing playing time increasingly limited at the club.
The 27-year old joined in 2013 in the wakes of Gareth Bale’s seismic departure to Real Madrid, though has largely failed to convince often enough for Spurs.
However, he could now be set to extend his stay ahead of the venture into the Champions League in order to cover all the bases at White Hart Lane.
Spurs fans, are you happy he looks set to stay? Or think he’s had his chance? Let us know below…
