Spurs ready to axe £8m midfielder, two Premier League clubs on red alert

Pritchard

With so much talk surrounding the potential big money arrivals at White Hart Lane this summer, the fans in the Transfer Tavern have almost completely forgotten that some players could actually leave Spurs in the coming months.

According to Sky Sports, one of those in particular could be midfielder Alex Pritchard, who only penned a new four-year deal last year.

The 23-year old is highly rated in North London, though has seen his progress stall following an ankle injury, though seriously impressed on loan with Brentford last term.

He spent the second half of the season on loan with West Bromwich Albion, though was only able to muster three appearances under Tony Pulis and has since been linked with a move to Rangers.

He worked with Gers boss Mark Warburton at Griffin Park and enjoyed a stunning season in West London.

It is understood that Spurs are willing to part with the England under-21 for a fee of around £8m, with two Premier League clubs thought to have already made moves.

A host of Championship clubs are also thought to retain an interest.

Should Pritchard be kept on next season, has he just been unlucky with injuries?
