The Tottenham Hotspur fans in the Transfer Tavern who are so excited about the club’s venture back into the Champions League have been met with further good news.
According to Football Insider, key ‘stopper Hugo Lloris is due to sign a new deal at White Hart Lane as soon as he returns from international duty at Euro 2016.
The Frenchman is without doubt one of the pillars upon which Mauricio Pochettino has built his success in North London, though recently rejected a new deal with the club.
He was linked with a shock move to Manchester United, though it is understood Daniel Levy has successfully negotiated a deal that will see the former Lyon man earn a stunning £26m across a five-year agreement.
It is a major boost for the club, who would have been loathe to lose one of the premier stoppers in world football as they gear up a season back in the Champions League.
