Spurs ‘virtually certain’ top playmaker will play for club next season

Still celebrating the dramatic comeback that kept their dwindling title hopes alive, the Tottenham Hotspur fans in the Transfer Tavern have found even more reason to celebrate.

As if watching Mauricio Pochettino continue the most exciting period the club has seen in years wasn’t enough, recent reports from the Daily Mail have gone down a storm in the bar.

They claim the north London outfit are increasingly confident of keeping a hold of star man Dele Alli this summer, despite reported interest from some of Europe’s biggest clubs.

Both Real Madrid and Manchester City are said to be keen on the England international as he continues to impress in the Premier League, though Spurs are thought to be ‘virtually certain’ of keeping him on Hotspur Way.

There is thought to be concrete interest in the 20-year-old, though the fact Los Blancos are said to be lining up Chelsea’s Eden Hazard, while City are believed to be aware their chances of buying from a rival of remote, seem to indicate he will stay.

As you can well imagine, the punters in the bar are delighted about this.
