Plenty of Tottenham Hotspur fans want the north London club to sign Willian in the summer transfer window even though the Brazilian international originally snubbed Spurs to sign for Chelsea.
Willian signed for the Blues from Russian side FC Anzhi Makhachkala back in 2013 when it was reported that he snubbed the Lilywhites at the last minute as Jose Mourinho swept in.
Now, it seems that the Portuguese coach may be interested in reuniting with his former player and luring him away from his now arch-rivals. Willian played 114 times under Mourinho, scoring 15 goals and providing 14 assists, according to Transfermarkt.
The 31-year old is out of contract in the summer and has reportedly told Fox Sports (relayed by the Metro) that it would be difficult for him to renew his contract as he wants to sign for three years instead of two, so negotiations have stalled and as it stands he will be allowed to leave for free in the summer.
Would you take Willian at Tottenham?
These supporters have expressed their interest in signing Willian on Twitter, with one fan even labelling him a ‘top player’:
Linked with a free transfer to #thfc this summer, Willian(31), has said "I think it will be very difficult for me to renew because Chelsea offered me two years, I asked for three and it ended there, we don't talk anymore, we didn't negotiate anymore".

I actually think he’d do a decent job for us! At times this season has been very good for them and always pops up with a decent amount of goals and assists

Yes. In the current circumstances, he could be a great back up for Lucas, Son and Bergwijn and can also push them for a spot.
Would take Giroud as well. Both have a good 2 years of good standard football in them.

I would love to say no. But I think he would improve the squad. Good set pieces and has carried Chelsea at times.

Yes. Proven premier league experience. A Mourinho favourite. If the gaffer wants him then I’d get behind it! COYS!

Yes I would. He’s experienced and he’s still got it, and as he always does a number against us I’d sign him just to have him not be a pain in our backside any longer.
