While life being a Tottenham Hotspur supporter has been almost wholly enjoyable in recent years, the wait for a major trophy goes on.
Despite Mauricio Pochettino’s excellent work, the north London outfit always seem to fall short at the final hurdle, which has left some of the locals propping up the bar a little scared going into the summer transfer window.
Though Tottenham are at their strongest in years, the fact some of their top players are frequently touted for an exit is undoubtedly a concern and reports from the London Evening Standard will not go down well on Hotspur Way.
They claim Kyle Walker has held talks with Pochettino about the club’s plans for the future amid reported interest from both Manchester United and Manchester City. Though the 26-year-old is said to be aware of his importance to Spurs’ cause, though also reportedly knows a move elsewhere would see him get a pay rise.
Currently, he’s believed to be raking in a cool £70k-per-week, though would surely see that almost double with a move elsewhere.
As you can well imagine, this news has concerned the Tottenham fans propping up the bar, with Walker crucial to their dynamic attacking play this season.
