Tenacious: Tottenham would be even scarier if they could land £9m-rated PL maestro

The Tottenham fans in and around the Transfer Tavern are becoming increasingly concerned about the lack of transfer activity in and out of the club with the hope being that this summer they can strengthen enough to launch a title bid.

Whilst the new stadium is almost completed, the team on the pitch is far from it. Tottenham are blessed with a strong starting 11 but squad depth is a real issue and could be seen as the reason behind their recent failures. Therefore in order to inject some more quality into the squad, our punters would like to see Tottenham launch a bid for Aaron Mooy, Huddersfield’s star man who is valued at £9 million on Transfermarkt.

Mooy played a big part in keeping Huddersfield in the Premier League last season and now it seems for certain that teams will attempt to prize him away from the John Smith Stadium. The 27-year-old never gives the ball up and chases the opposition around tirelessly until his side has regained possession. In his 36 Premier League appearances, Mooy scored 4 goals and created 3 assists for his team-mates and as well as his defensive contributions, showing that he is an influence going forward as well.

Tottenham don’t really have a player like Mooy who is versatile in defence and attack so this summer could be the perfect opportunity to do just that. Alongside players like Eriksen and Alli, Mooy could improve his game massively and play a vital part in all competitions for Spurs.
