‘That’s game over’ – Tottenham fans react following club’s Twitter post

Spurs fans here in the Tavern are confident on beating anyone in Europe, after defeating the defending champions in the group stage. 

Tottenham have enjoyed the best start to a Champions League campaign in the club’s history, after coming out on top as group winners in the ‘group of death’ that featured defending champions Real Madrid, and finalists from 2013, Borrusia Dortmund.

Now, with their recent form in the Premier League starting to become inconsistent, Mauricio Pochettino and his side have turned their attention slightly to their progress in the European competition, as they look to chase Champions League glory.

With confidence high after winning 3-0 at home with a younger side against Apoel Nicosia last time out, fans here in the Tavern have started to dream of bringing the trophy back to North London. However, feelings among Spurs fans may just take a turn for the worse, after the club’s Twitter account took to posting the results of the draw for the knockout stages of the Champions League, as they were faced up against Italian giants Juventus.

Nevertheless, with the Real Madrid victory still fresh in the minds, here’s a look at what Lilywhites supporters thought of their Champions League draw.
