Tottenham could be set to lose three players before the transfer window slams shut.

Mauricio Pochettino hasn’t made a signing this summer. Instead, the Argentine has focused on tying key players down to new contracts with Harry Kane and Christian Eriksen committing their long-term futures to the club. With just one week remaining in the transfer window, departures are expected.

According to reports, Spurs would be willing to offload Danny Rose, Toby Alderweireld and Mousa Dembele. Alderweireld has been heavily linked with a switch to Manchester United while Dembele if of interest to Inter Milan after they missed out on Arturo Vidal. Should Rose leave, Pochettino will need a backup left-back.

The ideal signing could be Real Madrid full-back – Theo Hernandez. Valued at £13.5m by Transfermarkt, the Frenchman joined the Whites from Atletico Madrid last summer for £21m. As a cover for Marcelo in the Madrid defence, the 20-year-old was restricted to just 13 appearances in La Liga.

As a result, Real Madrid nay allow the youngster to leave the club on loan with Fulham reportedly interested in bringing him to the Premier League. Tottenham should hijack their move and bring him to White Hart Lane.

With pace and excellent crossing ability, he would be the perfect back up to Ben Davies in North London. A loan with an option to buy makes perfect sense for Spurs.
