The Spurs fans in the Transfer Tavern can’t wait to see what their young side does this season.
After playing some of the best attacking football in the country, and combining it with one of the best defences, the team came agonisingly close to winning the Premier League title – only to fall at the final few hurdles.
A lack of title challenging experience was partly to blame for the club’s falling by the wayside, though if the players can use last year’s story as a positive – then surely they could be the outfit lifting the trophy this time around next May.
Mauricio Pochettino is aiming to build on his high pressing tactics and will hope with another pre-season the tactics he trains into his side will see them clinch first place.
He’s also been busy in the transfer market, adding extra options and with his emphasis on attack our landlord thinks this will be Spurs front four for 2016/17…
