The landlord’s had to separate the early Spurs drinkers in the Transfer Tavern this morning, who are continuing to bicker over Moussa Sissoko’s future in between sips of fine ale.
Spurs splashed out a £30million fee to sign the France international last summer but he’s endured a difficult first season at White Hart Lane, issued only six starts in the Premier League and still awaiting his first goal for the north London club.
It’s a far cry from Sissoko’s form last summer, when he impressed for his country at Euro 2016 and particularly in the final against Portugal.
Earlier this week, Mirror Football revealed that the 27-year-old has emerged as a transfer target for AC Milan, whilst a number of other clubs are said to be monitoring his situation in the capital.
And whilst some of the Tavern’s Spurs patrons have welcomed the news with open arms, our other Tottenham drinkers think Sissoko deserves another season to prove himself with the Lilywhites.
Our landlord hates choosing sides in such heated arguments, so we’re opening the discussion to Transfer Tavern readers.
