Tottenham fans in the Transfer Tavern have been handed news they didn’t want to hear this morning, amidst suggestions a star player will consider his future at White Hart Lane.
Kyle Walker has excelled during the past two seasons with Tottenham, with many regarding the England international to be the best right-back in the Premier League, but his performances in North London have not gone unnoticed.
Walker has attracted the interest from Manchester City, Manchester United and Bayern Munich, with The Telegraph stating he will consider his future at the club this summer after holding talks with Mauricio Pochettino.
The 26-year-old was unhappy to be left out of Spurs’ starting line-up for the 4-2 FA Cup semi-final defeat to Chelsea on Saturday and could force an exit this summer, despite only penning a new deal at White Hart Lane in September.
According to the Daily Star, Walker earns £70k-a-week, which arguably is a cause for concern, as our landlord is adamant he could get a significantly higher pay-cheque elsewhere.
The Spurs fans here in the Tavern have a gut feeling that the England international will depart White Hart Lane this summer in search of pastures new, and can envisage him plying his trade at somewhere like Man United next season.
