Simply delighted by their recent form, the Tottenham Hotspur fans in the Transfer Tavern are once again waxing poetic about their chances of winning a Premier League title at long last.
Mauricio Pochettino is once again the darling of north London and looks increasingly likely to build a dynasty with the club as they prepare to enter a new stadium, spearheaded by a wonderfully vibrant young side who promise to excite for years to come.
Which is exactly why reports from the Daily Mail have come as such good news to the Lilywhites propping up the bar. They’ve revealed the Argentine coach’s son has been offered a deal with the club’s academy after appearing for their U16 side.
Maurizio Pochettino is a winger, born in Barcelona, who is said to have been offered a scholarship on Hotspur Way following his fleeting outings for their development squads. Meanwhile, his 21-year-old brother Sebastiano is understood to have started work as a sports scientist behind the scenes in Enfield.
Though neither are likely to have a huge impact on the club in the short-term, our Spurs-mad punters have been cheering this news oh so loudly, such is Mauricio’s popularity amongst them as he closes in on four years on these shores.
