Tottenham, after an electric start to the season, have struggled to carry on that form and could now face another season of keeping up with rivals, rather than contesting for silverware.
With the quality everywhere on the pitch, it really is a surprise to see Tottenham’s wait for silverware continuing. They have a top manager and a starting 11 capable of giving any team in the world a run for their money but yet somehow, they always seem to put pressure on, rather than winning for themselves.
It’s time that changed and a great way to do that would be to buy a striker of FC Basel’s Albian Ajeti’s quality so he can play cup games, meaning Harry Kane is more likely to be playing every single league and Champions League game.
Ajeti, (who is valued at £4.5 million on Transfermarkt) is just 21-years-old but has already proven to be a massively important player for FC Basel, with his goals contributing towards domestic success in recent times.
The goals have continued this season as well, Ajeti has seven to his name in 16 outings thus far as he attempts to reach and surpass the 17 league goals he bagged last season.
Last month the forward made his international debut for Switzerland and made it a night to remember having scored whilst only playing for 25 minutes.
That is a sign of a great quality that no matter how little or how much time he gets on the pitch, he will make chances for himself. That should give Tottenham confidence they don’t have to rely on Harry Kane for every single game they play in.
