Tottenham: Fans absolutely loved Rafael van der Vaart’s comments about Mourinho
Rafael van der Vaart is an extremely popular figure among fans of Tottenham Hotspur.
The former Netherlands international only spent two seasons in north London but became a firm fan favourite among the Spurs faithful during that time, clearly leaving his mark on the club.

The Dutchman has a huge soft spot for Tottenham, too, frequently posting updates and opinions about the club on his personal social media accounts.
This week it was no different, as van der Vaart had his say on the new managerial appointment at Tottenham.
Mauricio Pochettino was sacked and swiftly replaced by Jose Mourinho – the manager who allowed the 36-year-old to leave Real Madrid to join Spurs in 2010 when he took over at the Bernabeu.
In his post, Van der Vaart referred to Tottenham as “our club” and said that they were “not just the best [team] of northern London, but the best [overall]”.
Mourinho will stir things up, so let’s see what happens. He is a phenomenal coach, straightforward and ambitious and so are our boys. So #COYS heads up, chest out. We’re not only the best of northern London, we are the best. So show it.
