While you’d be forgiven in thinking the situation at Tottenham Hotspur is really rather bleak at the moment, Mauricio Pochettino’s side managed to beat bitter rivals West Ham United 1-3 away from home in the EFL Cup last night to pick up some momentum.
Indeed, Son managed to bag two goals in the stadium in which he netted THAT worldy last season before Fernando Llorente managed to restore Spurs’ lead to two goals after former Arsenal man Lucas Perez cut the deficit with around 20 minutes to play.
After South Korea’s World Cup schedule, as well as their Asian Games winning campaign, Son has certainly had a mixed season domestically. The former Leverkusen man has largely lost his starting place in the team to the likes of Lucas Moura and Erik Lamela, though it’ll be hard for Mauricio Pochettino to leave him out all that much going forward after a performance like that.
With that in mind, here’s a look at how sections of the Tottenham support praised their man.
