After a season where Tottenham reached their first Champions League final in their history, it seems only fitting that one of the stars of the team was nominated for an award.

And that’s exactly the case for Harry Kane, who has been named on the 10-player shortlist for FIFA’s annual The Best award (per FIFA’s official website), with the English international one of four Premier League players nominated for the award.
The 26-year-old striker hit 24 goals in 40 appearances last season for Spurs in all competitions for the north London side (per Transfermarkt) as Mauricio Pochettino’s side finished in the Premier League top-four for a third season in a row.
Spurs supporters were excited to see their star attacker receive some recognition for his accomplishments, and some took to social media to congratulate the England captain.
