Tottenham: Fans don’t know whether to laugh or cry at goal-line technology decision

Loads of Tottenham fans were left in despair by one moment in Saturday’s 0-0 draw against Watford, as they claimed the goal-line clearance towards the end of the match was vintage ‘Spursy’.

Jose Mourinho’s side started with a spring in their step at Vicarage Road on Saturday, as the visitors were clearly the better team for the opening half an hour. The hosts then came back into the game however, and it’s fair to say Nigel Pearson will be disappointed not to have come away with three points.

The Hornets launched a barrage of crosses and free-kicks into the box as Ismaila Sarr and Gerard Deulofeu gave Serge Aurier and Japhet Tanganga nightmares at times, and Troy Deeney missed the best chance of the match when his effort from the penalty spot was saved by Paulo Gazzaniga.

The Lilywhites had a couple of chances of their own too though, with Ben Foster making a good save to deny Lucas Moura before goal-line technology denied a goal in the dying moments.

Loads of fans have been reacting to the remarkable image showing just how tight the decision was, and you can find some of the best Twitter reactions down below…
