Tottenham: Fans give dignified goodbye to Dutch striker Vincent Janssen

Some Spurs fans have taken to Twitter to praise Vincent Janssen and wish him good luck after he completed a move to Mexican side C.F. Monterrey, as confirmed by the club’s official website.
The striker joined Tottenham from AZ Alkmaar back in 2016 for £17million after bagging 27 Eredivisie goals in the previous season.
However, after a poor record at the Lilywhites which included just six goals in 42 appearances and a loan spell at Fenerbahce, the Dutchman was sold for just £6m.
The deal comes shortly following the news that Fernando Llorente has been offered a new one-year deal at Spurs after his initial contract at the club expired at the end of last season.
And so now with Llorente potentially set to extend his Spurs stay and prolific goal machine Harry Kane already on their books, it seems as though Mauricio Pochettino sees Janssen as someone he doesn’t need, particularly given he made just three first-team appearances last season.
Yet regardless of that, several Spurs fans still gave the 25-year-old a positive send-off.
Here is just some of the reaction:
