Tottenham Hotspur’s summer transfer window ended with a bang as both Ryan Sessegnon and Giovani Lo Celso signed on the final day, although the deal to bring in Sessegnon has seemingly frustrated Fulham’s vice-chairman Tony Khan.
Fulham were not impressed with how Spurs went about their pursuit of Ryan Sessegnon in recent weeks. Plenty of details of what they claim happened. https://t.co/BNHE6YdWgi

Football.London’s Alasdair Gold has documented the comments from Tony Khan, who has been critical of the way Tottenham went about bringing in their star teenager. Khan claims that the Lilywhites only contacted him two weeks before the end of the window, driving down the price in the process.
The fee, in the end, was a reported £25m, but the fact that it was paid so late, with the Fulham supremo claiming that a deal was only agreed at midday on deadline day itself, gave the Cottagers very little chance to strike up any deals of their own and leaving them with just the loan signings that they’d completed in the weeks before.
Daniel Levy has made a number of late moves previously in north London, completing a deadline day deal for Giovani Lo Celso this summer, as well completing the signing of Fernando Llorente on deadline day back in 2017.

I really love Daniel Levy

Rather childish moaning IMHO. That’s the world of football transfers, if you don’t like it, well tough, get used to it or do a different job!

He’s no different to Levy, held out for every last penny, could have taken a bit less and then spent the money….not seeing the difference…

Seems awfully moany for a guy who spent £100M last season

Typical levy really, why don’t we set these deals up before the window opens, same as dybala. If he doesn’t leave in this window work on the deal now so he comes in on the first day of jan.

The Lilywhites have little sympathy for Tony Khan and will only care for the fact that Sessegnon is their player now.
