Tottenham fans may bid farewell to 24-year-old this summer amid reported interest

The Tottenham Hotspur fans in the Transfer Tavern are hoping for a big summer on the arrival front in order to provide the finishing touches to a side that could potentially win the title.

Still, many of the rumours and reports in regards to Spurs’ potential activity have largely centred around players who might be leaving Mauricio Pochettino’s cause. The likes of Danny Rose and Kyle Walker have been touted as potential departures, a theme that’s continued today.

Indeed, reports emanating out of Germany have suggested another defender could be on the move. According to ExpressKevin Wimmer is of interest to a number of different clubs.

While the 24-year-old is held in high regard amongst our punters, not many defenders would be able to break to Jan Vertonghen-Toby Alderweireld partnership, so his playing time has been limited.

His former club Cologne are understood to be keen on the Austrian international, though may be priced out of any deal as Spurs reportedly value him at around €20m – roughly £17.3m.

With that said, a number of ‘mid-table’ Premier League sides are believed to be keen on Wimmer and, while our local Lilywhites would hate to see him go, realise he must be frustrated.
