Tottenham: Fans on Twitter all desperate for Fernando Llorente return

Tottenham fans had the ride of their lives last season in the Champions League, and the Lilywhites have been reminded of one of the best games of their run by their club’s Twitter account, posting the highlights of their Manchester City second leg.

One of the heroes of that tie was the man who scored Tottenham’s fourth goal to see them through on away goals, Fernando Llorente. The Spaniard put the ball past Ederson using his hip from a corner, and now the supporters have been calling for him to be re-signed.

The veteran striker made the difference that night, but just a matter of weeks later Tottenham’s European hero was released, as per the Premier League website, and now the fans are demanding that he’s given a new deal at the club seeing as the player is still a free agent, as per Transfermarkt.

You can read the Lilywhites’ calls to re-sign Llorente here:

It doesn’t look like Llorente is going to re-sign for the club, but that hasn’t stopped the fans from begging for his return.
